NANA (Annalise Van Even) is a Berlin-based multidisciplinary performer and choreographer who uses dance and the architecture of the body as a vessel for storytelling. Originally from Boston, she trained at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Temple University, Jeannette Neil Dance Studio and Toft Center.

Right now, Nana is on the road with global pop star Lorde as one of only two dancers on the Ultrasound World Tour: 86 shows across North America, Europe and Oceania, with nights at Madison Square Garden, The O2 in London and festival sets at Lollapalooza and Governors Ball. On stage, she is not a backup dancer. She is an extension of Lorde herself, performing choreography by Kiani del Valle.

Her movement language is wide and precise: modern dance (Horton and Cunningham), jazz, Fosse, ballet, release and floorwork, plus improvisation, kung fu and voice. Everything starts with improvisation, discovering the emotions and states the body can transmit. The result is raw, unpredictable and magnetic.

As a choreographer, Nana finds inspiration in nature, science fiction, surrealist architecture, mysticism and spiritual archetypes from Ancient China, Mesoamerica, Paganism and India. Her work challenges borders, both geographic and personal. Resistance and perseverance are always at its core.

As a teacher of improvisation and contemporary technique, she offers dance as a tool to ground, to heal and to awaken the wild spirit. She received a Dis-Tanzen research grant to study how trauma is stored in the body and how movement can transform it.

Nana is a queer, non-binary, mixed-race artist. These identities quietly shape her work, but they do not define it. She has worked with brands like Adidas, Mercedes-Benz, Nike x About You, Monclair, Vogue Magazine, Arte TV, among others — always staying true to who she is. In her words: "It's nice to be a part of something greater than yourself and still get to be yourself."
